Founded in 1910, Pine Grove Cemetery is currently home to roughly 1,700 souls. Buried here are many of the earliest settlers of Matamoras and Westfall, hundreds of veterans dating back to the Civil War, several former Matamoras mayors, an engineer from the Apollo Space Program, and even a girl named Cinderella.
Several wooded acres were recently cleared, making room for 8,000 additional plots.
